The children’s health and safety are very important to us at
Lakeview Maria Montessori Preschool. Please do not bring your child to
school if he/she is ill. The following are general guidelines for
keeping your child at home:
- A fever of 100 degrees or more (your child must be fever free for a 24 hour period).
- Any discharge from eyes (conjunctivitis or pink eye).
- Diarrhea within the past 24 hours.
- A runny nose with thick yellow or green discharge.
- If your child has vomited within a 24 hour period.
- If your child has head lice, they may not return to school until all live lice are gone and all nits are removed.
- COVID guidelines: every child will have their temperature taken at arrival. Temp must be 100.4 or less.
- Any child who has been exposed to covid should stay home for 14 days.
- Children will wash hands when they enter the school, exit the school, before lunch, and after the playground. Social distancing measures have been taken in the classroom and teachers will wear masks.
- Cleaning will take place throughout the day and at the end of the day as well. Hand sanitizer will be available to all students.
- Only children are allowed in the building during phase 1 and 2.
It is very important that you adhere to these guidelines to prevent the
spreading of contagious diseases. For the safety of all children, those
with symptoms of illness may not attend until they are completely well.
Your child may be sent home if he/she appears to have symptoms of
illness during the hours he/she is left in our care. In such cases,
your child will be immediately isolated from the other children and a
parent will be contacted to pick the child up. In the case that a
parent cannot be reached we will, at our discretion, notify a contact
on your emergency authorization form. Please make sure that anyone whom
you list on your emergency form is acceptable to pick up your child in
the event that we cannot contact you.
Remember that the other parents need to be notified if a child has a
contagious disease and or COVID.
Please notify the school immediately if your child
becomes ill so that we may give notice to others & follow COVID protocols. |
